My Clematis bloomed in November this year, an unusual happening in Minnesota. I plucked it before the frost had its way, placed the bloom in a glass bottle and then got my sketchpad.

I am a textile artist from St. Paul, Minnesota. I make decorative and functional objects, hand-painted in the Japanese tradition of katazome, or stencil-dyeing, using natural dyes on linen, cotton and silk.
